All the fuss around the newer mirrorless Z system is getting ridiculous

if you ask me… it feels like talking to scientology adept or creationists.

The Road Map

Z50, Z5, Z6, Z6II, Z7, Z7II and the announced Z9 will all be obsolete by
the time the road map has reached a quarter of the actual F system.

Nikon says: "29 lenses and teleconverters into 2022." That's next year!
What's NOT said is that the bigger mount with the lighter bodies will ma-
ke
all eventual combos front heavy… most uncomfortably unbalanced.

I will not deny that I am totally invested in the full frame Nikon DSLR
world but that is not my point… and I am not kidding.

Two students on a class of eleven showed up with a Z7II after owning
a D700 and D780 respectively. I said nothing, I wasn't asked. At the end
of the 4 hour session, lunch and every went home for joint photo review.

These guys are among the better shooters of the school but, this time,
their keepers rate was well lower than class average.

I want to see the successor to the phenomenal D850… possibly with the
expected 60MP.

So now I must ask. Are the students required to ask for your permission before choosing a particular camera model they want to use? <_<

Of course not… and that will not affect their score other
then their own personal keepers rate.

let me help on topic. not sure why nikon is going slow on getting new Z mirrorless system out or lenses. also got think about this virus harmed a lot company's in get parts and other stuff done. with lockdowns all over place could not test stuff or get parts in to make stuff. i know your teacher and your like my local college teacher do not want to change. he also thinks mirrorless will never replace DSLR camera but they will be since sony and canon just found away shutter lag or not have any shutter lag or slowness when using camera with no shutter. give it time it will get all kinks out and be where should where you not notice the flaws unless for sports
