Daar experts,
If I am rigth a camera native iso is the iso that is not amplified and gives the least noise, correct?
What is the native iso of the nikon D7500?
Why are camera native iso values not easy to find and not documented as part of the camera specifications?
Thanks,
Dankup.

The native ISO of the 20 MP sensor in the D500, D7500 and Z50 is 100.
Nikon uses numbers for ISO values that are not digitally enhanced and the lowest of these is the one that hasn't seen any analog gain either.
L0.3, L0.6 and L1 are all digitally manipulated to lower sensitivity, but the noise level doesn't decrease using these.

Thanks for your answer.
Why is native iso not something that is part of standard camera specification?
Kind regards,
Dankup

It is written between the lines as at least the major brands use the same nomenclature as Nikon.
