The UI is cool but not to the latest standards in terms of customisation and
tool tabs flexibility and practicality.

This app has the potential to go prosumer (even if it is free) and that would
be to my greatest pleasure or, more likely, stay at the consumer level uniting,
integrating the flexibility of actual softwares by Nikon.

This is just v. 1… let's wait and see which direction it will take, still time to ex-
plore… Btw, the healing brush is a hit in my book. :P

Hi there everyone,

I use NX Studio for some weeks now and love it much. I believe there is no better way developing my NEF Files. So, there are some bugs...don´t worry in a version 1.0!

So, if I press on QUIT, the changes on my last image are gone and the app remains open. Sometimes the same happened if I click on SAVE.

This just for information...now I copy all my changes, and paste them when it happens again...exporting all settings is a cool option too.

Next: The options of "picture control" are different for my D90 and Z6. So, for the older camera I have better options in NEF developing related to the steps of regulation (Brightness, Contrast, Sharpness, and specially the denoise functions are more detailed. This makes me wonder...I use latest picture control system, not the "camera compatible one".

Have a nice shooting and always "buenas dias"

I've been using NX Studio for a few weeks and am really pleased with it. There is no better approach to create my NEF files, in my opinion. So, there are some bugs...but that's to be expected with a version 1.0!

As a result, if I hit QUIT, the modifications made to my previous image are lost, yet the program stays open. When I clicked SAVE, the same thing happened.

This is simply for reference...now I copy all of my changes and paste them when it happens again...exporting all settings is also a good alternative.

How timely, installed this yesterday, after messing with it for a bit, closed it. Now reading here, see this is a new and improved, may work or not deal.

2 questions > What is NEF, and can files be imported from Apple Photo library.  Or must be imported from the chip ? Oops slipped in a 3rd one

Thanks

What is NEF

Exclusive to Nikon cameras, the Nikon Electronic File is Nikon's RAW
file format. RAW image files, sometimes referred to as digital negatives.
