I've been investigating… and my observation at this point is
that Nikon — as much as I've been a strong believer in their
gear up to now — is not doing so great in terms of software.
I've been experimenting — since its release — NX Studio and
my observation at this point is that Nikon has a looong way to
go to convince me that they are devoted to get to higher stan-
dards and have me switch to it as my main converter.

Nikon have been quirky when it comes to the UI as well as how it works on different platforms ever since NX2 became NX-D. The resulting photos from the NEF-s made it worthwhile to stand the quirks. Let's hope the same still stands.

Are you using it yet, Peter? I know you use NX-D a lot.

Have reinstalled this morning and after an hour or two it seems to be stable.
I want it to replace my free version of Capture One before I have to pay for the discounted full version!

Hi, new to the forums. I've downloaded NX Studio and made some changes to a couple of photos, hit save, and then closed out the program. When I went to send the photos to someone (in an email and just uploading the photos from File Explorer) the photos did not have the changes that I made. I have Windows 10. What am I doing wrong? Thanks!

RAW converters do not save pictures but alterations to Raw files.
You export images through the > file menu > export and tweak parameters
in the export windows. HTH

Does anyone know if you can shoot tethered with NX Studio?
I can't find a way to do it without calling on Camera Control Pro.

Does anyone know if it is possible to resize an image without losing the original resolution in NX Studio please?

Have you tried to "export" the picture?
