Hello

I am a new member of this forum. I was, until recently, an occasional photographer, but I am merging my interest in photography and my passion for astronomy. I know a lot of people have said that "everything has been photographed", which is true, but not by me. The opportunity to photograph the Orion Nebula, the Pleiades Cluster or the Horsehead Nebula and do the post processing (image editing is another hobby) is what I find fascinating. Hopefully I can learn a lot about standard photography here and maybe use some of that knowledge in my new interest.

Thanks

Deejay2632

I know a lot of people have said that "everything has been photographed", which is true, but  not by me.

That is the best argument!
Welcome and let's see what you will get! :P

The night sky certainly is an interesting subject for photography.  I've tried a few shots of it myself with minimal kit, a D700, Nikkor 20-35mm f 2.8 D AF lens, tripod, and wired remote release...and a celestial star chart.  Nothing fantastic yet though.
