Hi, just some advice that I'm sure you've been asked too many times.....

I'm wanting a few tips on picking up a 2nd hand Nikon digital. Not wanting to spend much initially. - About £200 - £300

I used to do quite a bit of photography years ago and shot on the old film nikons. F3 was probably my most used camera. I still have it, along with a reasonably ok set of prime lenses.

Anyhow for various reasons I stopped shooting, the best part of 20 years ago, but have decided to return. I don't want to spend much initially, but if I get back into it I may upgrade to a more pro camera.

So for me, something that is close to the older cameras. Ideally I'd like full frame, but not essential. Not too bothered about auto-focus lenses (I never used them before) and I can use the ones I have. it doesn't need to be a massively high resolution, just decent.

Again, I don't need bells and whistles. Just a decent straightforward camera.

Would like a few pointers of which to look at and which to definitely avoid.

Thanks in advance.

Sorry about this late reply.

It sounds like you would be in the market for a used D700. We had a thread about getting one that started a week after you posted this.

They are a bit more than you want to spend, but still not a big investment.
