Recently purchased a new D750 with the 24-120mm f4 lens.

I've had Nikons before (D700, Df).

I can't seem to get the D750 setup where I can select the single point I want the camera to focus on in AF mode.
If I switch to M mode, the display has shown the focus point and I can select what I want to focus on, but it doesn't auto focus as it's in manual mode.
Can't seem to get things so that the display shows the single focus point and allow me to move it with the multi-selector.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Had no issues doing this with my previous Nikons.

Thanks,
Larry

Sorry about the late answer to your question.

Inside the AF - M selector switch, there is a button. Press that and you can cycle through the AF options with the front control wheel and the AF modes with the rear. If you set the AF to S, you are in single point AF.
