Hi everyone

Please help this stressed out NHS worker as photography is my hobby and distresses me.  I use the wonderful Nikon D7200 and download to Photoshop on MacBook Pro.  Yesterday I upgraded the software after constant reminders to macOS Big Sur.  I now can no longer transfer photos from the camera to Photoshop.  Why?  I got a new Apple connector in case this was the problem.  It wasn't.  I have spent 5 hours looking at settings in Photoshop and camera.

It would be fair to say I am now desperate as I am clueless - please can any of you help.  Do I need to change MacBook, upgrade Photoshop (using 19 but occasionally it flashes up  21).  Any advice would be appreciate from you experts.  Have a great day.   Thank you in advance.

If you use a PS version earlier than 22.x.x, there are some 32-bit code in the software. This code won't run under Big Sur.

Why use PS to download? Image Capture is a part of MacOS and works well if you absolutely have to use your camera as a card reader. Getting an external card reader or using the one built-in in older MacBook Pros is much more convenient and lets you use Finder to copy your files where you want them.
