For the shutter speed, the indicator at the top usually says "25o" or something similar.  I'm confused as to why there's a little "o" character after 25.  Is this supposed to mean the shutter speed is 1/250?  I think sometimes it says "x 25 o". What does all this mean? Thanks!

Maybe they ran out of "0" and set a "o" instead?

I got two of those beast and both are doing the same since day one.
Just don't worry about that and let us see some picts of yours!

I found this in the manual:   Shutter speed can be set to "x 25o" or to values between 30s and 1/8000s

 

I'm just wondering where "x 25o" falls in the range of 30s to 1/8000s.  I can't master this beast until I know the answer.

While for fi the ISO indication in the viewfinder the full size 0 (zero) is used, for shutterspeed it uses o as 0.
btw on the top LCD display the o is always used.

An indication of 25o therefore means an exposure time of 1/250s

On the D850 I could move up to 30 seconds and then came to the famous x25o. I think it is related to the flash sync speed, but have not used it so far.
