Canon 50mm F1.2, wide-open on the Leica M9.
This lens was made in 1957- has perfect glass. This is the first 50/1.2 lens offered for sale for full-frame 35mm format, introduced in 1956. Nikon HAD to bring out the 5cm F1.1 Nikkor-N to outdo Canon. Then Canon came out with the 50/0.95 in 1961.

Nikon D750 Tamron 90mm f2.8 AF Macro 272E
This Tamron 90mm is the first lens I bought independently of a camera package, and I bought it for my D5500. It serves as a Macro lens for the D700's and D750 also, and very well. Until I processes this weeks photos I had no idea of the bokeh it's capable of.

I walked out the back door today to continue my drudgery in the shop and noticed these. I don't think they were there yesterday, so back into the house and grab a D-700 in case they go away. I shot some with the old 50mm f1.8 AF non-D lens, and others with the Tamron 90mm f2.8 Macro. Either produces great bokeh!

Above- at F1.2.
Picked up another 50mm F1.2 lens: Voigtlander 50/1.2 Nokton, M-Mount. This is an Aspherical lens, two aspherical elements.
At F4,
I have a lot of 50mm lenses. But- this one is destined to be a modern classic, prices about the same as the Noct-Nikkor 58/1.2 was when it was new. I should have bought one of those when they were under $1000.
