First off thanks for having me.  Just had a quick look around and seems a great place.

Ok my side hobby is Aviation Photography I had a D60 with 55-200 VR lens which was a cracking little camera but just never had the legs for the long shots. So instead of getting a bigger lens i went for the P1000 only had it a few weeks first thoughts not a bad bit of kit but the issue i'm having is when i'm trying to take a picture of a moving plane at about 38000ft. I select the shutter half way to focus but i've found there is a massive lag and by the time it refocuses the plane is well out of shot and needs focusing again and 9/10 the shots are poor.

Thanks In Advance
