I was curious if there have been any rumors as to the cost of these future Z lenses.  I would very much like to purchase one but if the price is going to exceed $3500 I think I would be better off buying a Canon EOS R6 camera with their very reasonably priced 800mm lens.

So far the reviews on those lenses that canon has put out (600+800mm) have been very good.  I realize Nikon usually charges a premium for their long prime lenses but it seems it would be in their interest to make them at least semi affordable for the average novice photographer.  Any thoughts.

The roadmap looks like it is well ont the way towards a more or less complete line-up.

What's missing for me is something light and wide in the DX range.

We will see if the quality/price equation is nice or not when the lenses are out.
