My posts in the Nature & Animals forum seem to get no views though
there are likes received. For someone to give a like, the post must be
viewed, no? How come I get likes in posts that have /had no viewer?

I am no admin, but the view function might be browser-dependent. If it is built on some kind of Flash coding in the background like so many parts of this site, Safari on iOS and Edge in most work environments won't register as a view.

I haven't tested as I am not at home. It is probable as most fully patched systems are shutting flash down already in anticipation of Adobe's support ending.

I don't know if this is the problem, though.

I presume that all forums should have the same behaviour
but I see it only with that one!

I still can't see your photos using Chrome, NikonShooter. They show up using MS Edge, but I avoid using Edge since it doesn't let me stay signed in.

The arrangement I have with the service provider permits me to
post for a limited time only. For ex., all pictures posted in 11/2020
will stay up until the end of 12/2020, and 12/2020 until the end of
01/21, etc. Sorry Bengan!

I didn't know that viewing would be browser dependant!

The site can also be viewed by Tapatalk (which I use)

I am not sure whether views with TT are added to the counts

Posting is not based on the browser.  Reading posts is.  And it can vary from system to system and browser to browser.  On my work system where I am typing, in Chrome, I do not see any of your images.  I have not tried any other browsers om this site from my work system.  On my Mac, I can see your images in Firefox, however I cannot see them in Chrome.
