Please post here some of the most memorable shots that you made in your entire photography career

Since my photography career is not yet over, I can't honestly say this is the most memorable shot I have EVER taken.

 

How-ever, it IS my most favorite!

This one is part of a series that I was called into shoot literally dragged of the street by the club owner as the booked photographer din't show .
 
I had my D600 with my trusty Tamron 24-70 2.8 . just like the composition and the way the stage light fall on the performer the place was packed so I could not move around ,just had to shoot from one spot.

Memorable is an interesting choice to describe an image...In my opinion, memorable doesn't have to be the best, the most published, the most profitable or even my favorite photo - but it does have to evoke something within me.  There are many memorable photos I've taken.  I was thinking of what photo I wanted to post in this thread and in my mind I can see several images that I've taken over the years as if I had a stack of 8x10 photos in front of me instead of the computer screen.  I guess if I can "see" a photo I shot in the 1970s or 1980s, that's pretty memorable...

 

Of course, most of those photos I haven't scanned.  They (and the negatives) are safely tucked away in boxes in the basement right now - and of course in my mind.  I ended up choosing one that I don't think has had the chance to become "memorable" yet, and I didn't think it would be at the time, but one that I know will become memorable to several people including me.  I shot it less than a month ago...

 

 

I've been photographing sports at this school for several years...Over the last few years, I've gotten to know a teacher and coach who shows up to shoot all the football games.  This year, her son is a senior running back and receiver...he had an excellent season with over 1100 combined yards and at least a dozen touchdowns.  I took what I thought would be a fun photo to give his Mom.  Unfortunately the team lost the game and this turned out to have happened after his last high school touchdown...when I processed the photos, I knew I'd captured that memorable moment that was not at all anticipated.

Mine seems so bland in comparison to all of these but, this is my one of my favorite shots I've taken so far...

Eden was born on the 9th February 2013, 10 weeks premature. She weighed in at 2lb 8oz. She could fit into the palm of my hand and my wedding ring slipped easily over her foot and onto her leg.

This is the most memroble picture I have of her during her 6 week stay in the neonatal unit.

This picture is of my father at his happiest. He had just completed a series of replicas of notable Wakefield Trophy models from four decades for an aircraft museum. We were out at the local airfield to check that everything worked and they flew before delivering them. I photographed the test flights to make a booklet for visitors to browse in the cafe. This was my first shoot for an exhibition, and I did it with two bodies and three lenses. From the end of the shoot itself and making the first prints I was a wreck, had I overlooked something? It was such a relief to see the contact prints and check them with a loupe and see them exactly how I had previsualized them.

I love these last several emotionally charged photos. I can see why they are memorable to you. I think they fit the idea of being "memorable" better than my "favorite" image! I must rethink...

I'll post one.    We took our oldest grand daughter for a buggy ride thru an Amish community a few years back. This is one of the shots I took from the buggy. This one is memorable for me, because it is the first shot I ever took that someone  actually wanted to buy .

It is not my favorite ,but it is one of my memorable ones.  My favorite one I did everything wrong and still ended up with a shot that I enjoy . It hangs in MY room ,and I don't think I have ever posted it online

I posted this pic when I first joined these forums, but, it's still, and probably always will be, my most memorable photo. For those of you who didn't see the original post, here's the story.

 

I took this picture a few days after my grandfather died at the age of 92 a few years ago. We used to sit and drink coffee together, his cup on the right, mine on the left, in those chairs. I still occasionally drink coffee from his old cup, it's one of my prize possessions....

This is probably my most memorable photo. One of the first that I took I really liked. Just helping my daughter do her homework and had my Pentax K-30 sitting on the table loaded with my newly acquired Helios 44M-6. I was focusing on the pen as the heart on the end lit up as she pressed it down. In hindsight I should've focused on her face but I was just practising my manual focus and had no intention of producing such a sweet photo.

One of my most memorable photos is this shot of the entrance to the Denver Museum of Modern Art.  I took it when I had just gotten my D90 when they first came out.  It was a snowy overcast Valentines Day.

It's about time to bump this thread again and see if somebody else wants to add to it.

Here's the first one that comes to my mind.  Pentax K-50 + a the F 35-80mm f/4-5.6 (first used lens I ever purchased).  It's my daughter jumping over waves out on Vashon Island.  I've always preferred the B&W conversion.  I have a 16x20 of the B&W in my office, and always smile when I see it.

I believe this shot is both my favorite and most memorable.  Unfortunately, we were not able to have children, so it was very moving for me to have these two beautiful characters in my viewfinder.  Little Miss Pinky  is the ham out of the two.  I suppose someday she may become an international celebrity of some sort.  

 

My title for this:  "The future of photography is here."  Thanks for looking and Happy New Year.
