Stop aperture preview firing flash

Not sure if there's a reason this is happening, but if I press the preview button it fires my wireless flash, just check also fires the pop-up flash... Sounds like a pwm buzz, maybe high speed sync with lots of little flashes for about a second.
Hoping I can disable this :(

The camera strobes the flash to let you see how shadows will fall. This has the advantage for portraiture of getting your subject to blink before the exposure and not during it.
