S/N Last Nikon F4?

Hello Fellow Film Users,

 

After searching everywhere that I could think of, I contacted Nikon and asked them what the last serial was for the F4.  They wrote back and said that they don't have that information.  I've seen the Nikon F4 FAQ site that was run by John Wall, and it did not have the information either.

 

Question: does anyone know the last serial number of the F4, or what was the highest that you've ever seen?  I saw 2622883 one time awhile back.

I doubt if you will ever arrive at the answer to your question. The best information, updated in 2021, 2,580,000 is roughly the tail end. People have reported numbers in the 2,600,000. So there you are.
