A friend of mine, to keep the surprise, went through a logistic nightmare.
His second son wished for his birthday a tipi… "a real one in which a fire
could keep the temperature warmer and cook for us!"
he specified.

For a solid three weeks. the father built it 7km away: collecting perches
for the structure and the mother found the material and work to sew it.

Yesterday, the mother went with the kids for different shoppings while
five men rebuilt the completed tipi on the property…on time.

The boy was the last to know… HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Such dedication!

A wonderful story and a beautiful b&w to accompany it.

Just to let you know: the image doesn't load inside your post for me. When I use "open image in a new tab", it opens without delay.

Let me guess, you're using Chrome? Some updates I gather. I cant view them directly either.

Just switched to Edge for mac  ;)

Almost a perfect twin of Chrome without Google meddling.

I agree with Bart, that's quite a feat to accomplish in my book.  Good capture too.

It was arrange — within the family — that the kids may
sleep in the tipi on school free days and weekends of
any season!
