This one looks like an M42 T-mount, but the inner screw thread is much wider than usual - a normal T-mount has a 42mm thread (not the same pitch as M42), this one is approximately 47mm. Ring any bells with anyone?

Could it be a Hanimex H mount?
Sorry for the delay replying - I'd never heard of H-mount but it looks very plausible, it's the right size internal screw thread etc. Since I've never seen a compatible lens I can't actually test it, so it looks like the best thing to do is bung it onto eBay and hope someone wants it. The Leicaflex T4 mount I mentioned ended up selling for £7.46 plus postage, so it's certainly worth trying! MANY thanks!

Strange coincidence time - I received a job lot of lenses today which included a Palinar 35/2.8 which was supposed to be T-mount - turns out it's H-mount with another M42 mount fitted! I think it's the first time I've ever seen an actual lens with this mount. Not a bad lens, nothing special but OK.
