I've been using my D90 for some time and decided to update the firmware following the Nikon instructions page.

New empty folder put on home page. Then tried to download the windows 'exe' file to the computer. It simply wont download. Hovering over the download button produces a reference to 'crossgates.nikon......'  web page. When I try to go to the webpage, the site is up for sale !!

Can anyone advise me please ? Am I doing something wrong ? Or is the firmware update for my trusty D90 no longer available.

I downloaded it fine from here.

Thanks. But your 'here' link is exactly where i've been, and trying to dowload the 'exe' file from the black 'download' button only gets the result I mention in my post. Neverthess I appreciate your response.

When a link works just fine for somebody else, this means that the problem lies with your browser, DNS host or computer.
What browser are you using? On what OS?

Thanks Nikonian.

I resolved the problem. The link would not work directly when clicked. But I found it did work when I copied and pasted it in a separate window. Should have done that before posting ! Thanks for all replies. Out of interest, its windows 7 pro and Chrome browser.
