Hi I just got the 7500 I’m upgrading from the 3500 and when I put the 18-55 Vr from the 3500 on the 7500 I can’t focus anything. On manual it sometimes does but rarely but when I put my 50mm and 70-300 Vr on it was focusing. Any advice or help will be greatly appreciated!! It’s driving me nuts cause at first I thought the camera was broke till I switched lens - I’m no pro at all I know basics so any advice I would greatly appreciate Thx !!

What version is the misbehaving 18-55? Is it AF-S or AF-P?

What version is the 70-300? AF-S, AF-P DX or AF-P FX?

Maybe that lens is faulty. Do one thing install the non working lens in another camera and see if the same problem occurs or not. I guess as your camera is working with other lens then that particular lens have some default. Did you buy it from ebay or amazon?. Where did you find this lens?. Or use this same lens but a different one in your camera, you can borrow one from your photographer friend. See what happens.
