I'm having trouble getting ViewNX2 to launch Microsoft Outlook when I want to email some photos.

Earlier this year, I changed my default email client to Microsoft Outlook. Now, when I try to email photos from within ViewNX2 I get the error message "Could not start the email program. Make sure that you have selected a default email program and that the program is set up properly".

I've double-checked that Outlook is set as the default email program, but ViewNX2 does not seem to have gotten the message. I have tried deleting and reinstalling ViewNX2, but the erroneous information seems to be retained.

The workaround for the moment is to use the Convert files function to compress the files to something suitable for email and then attach separately. A bit of a pain.

Any ideas out there about what to try?

Cheers,

John

Why do you still use ViewNX2? The current version is ViewNX-i.

I, personally, wouldn't use the convenient save for web or save for email presets in any software as output sharpening has to be applied on a case-by-case basis for best results. Both the amount of detail and the intended size will affect the sharpening settings.
