slow shooting with external flash

Not sure what happend but now each time I shoot with my external flash I have a 2-3 delay it seems like its doing some kinda metering.this did not happen before, this delay is only with the external flash. I shoot, / 3 clicks ( seems like metering) then the flash and camera go off.  Not sure what setting I messed up since this did not happen before i could should quickly.  I hit the reset button the flash but that did not help.


I just figured it out It was the flash mode, thanks.
