I have had a D3400 for nearly three years and I am not sure when the internal flash stopped firing - I don’t use flash often and I only found out it wasn’t working a few weeks ago. It pops up but it simply will not fire. I bought a cheap but compatible Neewer TT560 (not TTL) thinking I might use it in case I needed to use flash but, although it seems to be working (I tried the test button) again it won’t fire when attached to the camera in any mode or setting. I am little more than a beginner and I am really baffled... Thanks for any help anyone can give.
