Nikon D700 mirror lock up

Hi 

I am new to the forum.

 

My nikon d700 body has Err message and the mirror is locked in the up position permanently.

I am seeking some advice how to solve the issue.

I am quite technically minded means if it needs disassembly and fixing it, that will not be a problem, I just need some guidance where to start and what part would I need to replace if any?
