I put the big lenses away for a time today and gave a little guy a ride on one of my D700's, a little Tamron 90mm f/2.8 Macro 272E.  I'm glad I did, this little lens deserves more of my attention.

Grapes ready to eat in the back yard.

I'm not sure what these are, but they adorn our doggy cemetery very well.  I guess they're Lilies of some kind.

Sadly, the last of the Black Berries for the year.

Now I know WHY you get up so early! :P

You would get somewhat better renditions through
some tonal taming. Maybe I could help you there.

Get up?  I haven't been to bed yet!  I'm semi retired and my own boss.  Besides, it's only 0100 here. ^_^

I just ran these through Affinity to check sharpness since I hadn't used this lens in a while.  Otherwise, no retouching or editing.  I have this D700 set to Neutral Picture Control.  My other D700 is set to Vivid!  I do like what you did with the Humming Bird photo though.

I would offer you a 1:1 mentoring session for free
if you want that is!

Enlarging yours I see a difference now.  The purple/lavender is brought out more.  Very good!

Yes, I would like a lesson on Affinity.  I watch tutorials when I can, I'm bust trying to catch up on my backlog of work so I can go into full retirement in the spring when my FFL expires.  I quit doing customer work several years ago and now only take in work from other shops that they can't do, or don't have the tooling to do...and that still keeps me busier than I planned on at this point, but at least I don't have to keep any real regular hours.
