Ahhh, do I see a hint of a sun star?  Those older lenses with straight blade diaphragms are wonderful, aren't they?

Pardon my ignorance here, is that a private chapel, a mausoleum, or a shrine of sorts?

Did you shoot that with a D810?

Yes, just a hint… to tease you! :)

All around medieval Europe, a great number of such devotion points

were erected. Commemorating one or the other pandemics, they took
many shapes and sizes depending on the wealth of the builder.

This very one reflects the Holy Austrian period as they called themsel-
ves. The clergy having lost its grip on the people, many of these monu-
ments are aging worst than others. This one is a hill chapel.

Nope, that was committed with the D3X + 24 ƒ1.4.

The sun star in this case seems just right and tasteful.

So it's actually large enough for a family to have a private service in or at least for individual devotions.

My second guess would have been a D3s.  Oh well...

I know this is a horrible thing, but I just recalled I may have a filter in my old film kit that produces an almost believable four pointed sun star.  I'll have to do some digging, but I'm sure it's there, but I don't think it will work on my best FX lenses due to it's small size.  I don't see why it wouldn't work with my D5500 DX kit though...  Maybe I'll see if I can put a sun star on my Border Collie's nose!
