Can i use any USB C charger for the D780 battery? For example, can i use the USB C charger from my Samsung Tablet S5e, are the electrical specs the same for all USB C? Don't want to use PC as it would be too slow.

I can't directly answer your question, however every Nikon DSLR I have seen has come with a charger for the battery. That charger should be used if the D780 came with the battery and charger. Otherwise, I would suggest consulting the manual to see how Nikon recommends charging the battery.

To charge any rechargeable battery in a decent time, one
needs some power and unless you use a powered con-
nection… no reasonable way.
Now, all universal buses are not hot — read powered —
and capable to charge the way you would need it and
without damaging the pack.
The idea to use the original like charger is the best.

Hi all and thanks for the feedback.
The whole idea of having a USB C input is to allow connection to a PC but also to allow in camera charging.
Nikon sells their own charger, the EH-7P as Merco pointed out, for $60 U.S. but why pay for something you already have from another device.
I just want to make sure the specs are the same.
FWIW, Rockwell had this in his review
I love that I can charge via USB-C; no more external charger needed even though one is included.
Mine draws 478mA at 5V through a 99¢ USB-C cord and generic 5V USB charger.
