Hello,

What settings on the camera will allow me to open and keep the shutter open even in pitch dark situations?  I am trying to use the camera for astrophotography, but the camera sensors will not allow the shutter  to open due to low light.  I have it set to "Bulb," still will not allow the shutter to activate.

Likely that your camera does not allow you to take a picture, because it can not auto focus, while having it set to focus priority.

Try setting the (auto)focus to Manual in the camera menu (or on the lens, if it has a swith A/M - M)
