At work we have 2 D850’s and both have stopped working on Nikon transfer 2.

Nikon transfer 2 hangs when trying to select the SD card slot (Slot 2).

All was working fine for 6 months plus, then both suddenly stopped about 2 weeks ago.

All still works fine on all the D800e’s and D810’s. Neither D850 works on 4 of the windows 10 PCs I have tried them on.

No update available for Nikon transfer 2.

All works fine through Nikon transfer 2 when putting the SD card into the PC so I don’t think it’s anything to do with the NEFs.

Any suggestions appreciated.

Did someone update the firmware in the cameras?

Why not just use a card reader? The camera is *not* a good reader compared to external readers.

You indicate you can read the card fine with a card reader.  As Merco suggested, that is the best way to get files onto your system anyway.  Problem solved...
