I've noticed a very faint dark halo that sometimes shows up in areas of even tone along the edges of objects. I thought maybe I was doing something wrong or that the camera had a problem, but I recently saw a photo shot with a Nikon by a well known photographer and it had the same problem. That photographer would probably have noticed the problem (and would have the money to have it checked out and fixed) so I wonder if maybe I'm just going crazy or overreacting.
In the section of a photo below you'll see it along the left edge of the hat. It's very faint but I know it's there. Any idea what might be causing it? I assume it's nothing that can be remedied. Zooming out to a smaller magnification of the image tends to accentuate the effect.
