Hello,

 

I've just bought this camera and followed a video on setting it for photography but I think I did something wrong that the AF area mode is deactivated now. Could anyone help please?

I don't have a P900, but i expect the manual will tell you how to do a factory reset on the camera.  Once that has been completed, you can try the video again or perhaps use the manual to guide you on the changes you want to make.
