Hi 

I have just bought the above adapter but I fit it to my camera I can't take pictures, as with a normal lens you have to turn the lens to get the camera to function but this does not happen with the adapter fitted can anyone help with information.

Never seen that adapter, but I am probably one of the few who have shot a Nikon 1 V series as my son had the V2 and I had the V3.  I expect you are trying to shoot in an automated mode.  With that adapter I expect you will need to shoot full manual.
