1. How do you transfer a raw MOV file from the D3300 to a flash drive or PC folder, so you can erase it from the SD card you're using in the camera?

2. What do you use for advanced editing of a movie you recorded with your D3300?

Thanks!

Use a card reader on your PC to copy your files from the SD card to your PC.  You can also copy to an external drive or flash drive for a backup copy of the original at the same time if you want.  Once you have returned the card to your D3300 and confirmed your files copied correctly, you can reformat your card in camera to be ready for more shooting with a clean card.  This is true for PC and for Mac.  Many newer systems have an SD slot built in for transfers or you can pick one up for around $20 at many locations.

I don't have any recommendation for editing movies since I use a Mac and I rarely shoot video.

Thanks T. The issue is they save as nmf files, which aren't usable anywhere except NX2. People use the D3300 for YouTube, but I'm still trying to figure out how! And so far none of the answers on this form have resolved anything. So I'll canvass YouTubers next. Thanks. 🙏
