A forum search on this came up with nothing. Video files from the D3300 will only play on Nikon software, on my Windows PC. No other software seems to play them, much less recognize them. I copy and pasted the MOV onto an Android SD card, and the process converted it into an nmf file. No "universal" app will play the nmf, including Nikon's own Snapbridge app, which wouldn't even recognize the nmf file.
Bottom line: I can only play and edit Nikon D3300 videos on their own software. Currently unable to play them on anything else, upload them to YouTube or Google, convert them into more usable files, or create a link to them. Any clues on how to: (1) Create a link? (2) Play or edit videos on non-Nikon software? (3) Upload them to YouTube? I see videos from YT Creators who use D3300's, so it does seem possible. But how? Thanks!

MOV fileformats play well on QuickTime or VLC, as well as other players.
The free VLC player is available for most platforms, so you might look into that one. Official download of VLC media player, the best Open Source player - VideoLAN
According to the following support site, MOV is supported by YouTube:
Supported YouTube file formats - YouTube Help
If you want to convert the MOV file (or limit the filesize) there are a few, both free and paid, solutions which you can find by googling for « MOV convert file format »
As regards the camera itself, please also check that you have the latest firmware installed
