Hello,

Just got an Photomic T finder for my Nikon F but I’m having trouble setting the ASA. I’ve understood that you’re supposed to align the film speed with the lens’ max aperture by lifting up the dial, but when I lift it up the whole dial comes along, not just the outer ring with the apertures. What am I doing wrong?

Hi. Does your Photomic T have two pins on the top of the dial? The early versions of the T have them. If so, you need to use the pins to turn the dial. The later versions of the meter had the outer ring that you would lift up to turn.
