Hello,

I am looking at buying this lens for D7100 camera and am wondering which functionality I will be losing since it has limited functionality on my model. Does anyone know?

Thank you.

I don't believe there are any issues on a D7100.  What limited functionality are you speaking of>  I assume that by saying "my model" you have a D7100?

As it is an AF-P lens, you need the latest firmware. The VR is controlled from the camera menus, this means that you can't turn VR off as that menu is not there in older bodies. As long as you shoot handheld, the combo works very well but not on a tripod. The FX version works fully on the D7100 without the limitations of this DX lens as that one has a switch to control the VR.
