Hi there, very new to this world, just bought a Nikon D5600 and I’m having issues with the LCD screen. Hard to explain without showing an image, but essentially is almost looks cartoonish in parts. Please excuse my naivety! Haha.

Can you take a picture of the LCD screen with your phone and post it here?
That will possibly help to better understand your problem.

I believe you have your camera on the EFFECTS setting, Photo Illustration. That will give the effect you describe on LV. Simply take the your dial off EFFECTS or turn the command dial to a more suitable effect setting. Putting the selection dial on A or MASP will put your camera back to normal. You have a bunch of ''EFFECTS" built in, you can leave it there and check them out, Photo Illustration is the most dramatic of the bunch. Play around with it, see what each EFFECT does and have fun with it.
