Downloading new photos to Windows 10 Lenovo pc

I got a new desktop pc  that has Windows 10, I don't know what to do to download new pix from the camera to pc. It worked in my  other H P Optiplex pc Windows 7. Can someone give me step by step instructions please

It should be the same process.  After plugging in the camera, you should show it appear in the file explorer.  Click on it and you'll be able to copy your files over.

What camera do you have?

 

The DSLR-s, MILC-s and some coolpixes don't have a mass storage mode and you need some type of PTP-capable app like MS Photos, Nikon Transfer or any of the post processing software to use the camera as a card reader. The easiest and most stable solution is to use a card reader and just copy the files where you want them using Explorer.

As Merco_61 says above - use a card reader connected to your PC.  Put the card in the reader and copy files from there to whatever folder you want on your hard drive.
