Lovely shots. I have one almost identical to the avenue of trees in the 3rd shot

I'm always amazed by the talent some photographers have for capturing a scene "just right". Bravo!

These are all very good.

Numbers one and three and five are GREAT!

Did you shoot all these on the same morning?

Any info on camera, lens, settings? Did you shoot in MC mode?

Appreciated, Alden!  Thanks!

Yes, these were all shot during the same walk. In the afternoon actually, between 4 and 5 PM.

Camera is D700 in aperture priority and auto ISO limited to 6400 (my default setting).

Lens is Voigtlander APO-Lanthar 125mm f/2.5 SL.

1 and 3 are at f/2.5

2 and 5 are at f/8

4 is at f:5.6

All the exif data should be available in the photos.

Not sure what you mean with MC mode?

MC is "monochrome" mode - the camera shoots in B&W.

Most people would rather shoot in color then change to B&W in post processing, but sometimes I like to just set the camera to MC and compose in B&W.

I see. I always shoot RAW and hence in colour.

I prefer to convert to b&w in post processing. I do the conversion in DxO where I sometimes use FilmPack to get a b&w.

Otherwise, I use Silver Efex on DNG's from DxO.

I have tried to shoot RAW and jpg to get a b&w preview but it somehow didn't work for me.

If one day I win the lottery, I would most definitely get the Leica Monochrome though.  :)

I just love these! #3 and 5 are my faves, but I really can't pick.
