Hello! So yesterday, by accident, i clicked on reset setup on my trusted d3400. After that it came to my notice that the mode dial was "stuck" and unable to active the M,A,S,P modes, as well as the GUIDE and EFFECTS modes. Since i use mainly Manual mode, this is a major issue for me and i couldn't find any solutions anywhere. Does anyone have a clue?

Resetting the setup should have no impact on the mode dial.

Could you please tell if it is physically stuck, or how this „stucked mode“ becomes apparent.

If it is something like „turns, but doesn’t react anymore“ and you really consider it to be linked, eventually do an extra reset and/or take out the battery for 24 hours.

Thanks for your reply. So the mode dial rotates as usual, not a strange sound or click. When it passes Auto mode and reaches GUIDE it doesn' t respond, just remains to auto. Then, when i rotate the mode dial to Program Mode it's behaving like i rotated backwards and works as No Flash mode. When i get it to Shutter mode it works as Portait, etc etc for the rest of the 4 functions. So the other modes appear to activate twice in a 360 degree rotation.

This rather sounds like something is broken or mechanically misaligned.

I would not link it to the reset setup.

Best would be to go to a local shop to give it a check.
