Are we over reacting?..Under reacting?  I don't have the answer.

My dad was 12 years old in 1918 when the "Spanish Flu" killed millions world wide.  On 11-11-1918 when the shooting stopped in Europe and people were celebrating in the streets, my grandmother forbad any of her children to venture out of the house among people.  Dad really wanted to join in with the celebration of the end of the war, but he could only watch from a window, grandma had lost one son in France to German fire and had two others in the army, she didn't want to loose any at home to a bug.  Did she over react?  No, she did what my or any mother would have done given the circumstances.

I fear we'll loose more of our already rapidly disappearing social skills and possibly some of our freedoms over this bug.  I hope I'm wrong...
