Hey guys! So I need some advice/thoughts :)

My current setup is: D7100, Sigma 70-200 2.8, 50mm 1.8g, Tokina 11-16 2.8. It’s been a decent setup, but I’ve been tempted by the Z6 for a while now. I don’t have the money to just buy it, so my question is would it be worth me selling most of that setup above ^ to get the z6, a 24-70, and then save up for a newer 70-200 down the road? Or should I keep my setup and just focus on saving up for the z6 for a future date?

I only shoot for personal use right now and occasional portrait sessions (family, senior, engagement, etc)

Is there something you feel the Z6 will provide you that the D7100 does not?

Regardless of the answer above, you could certainly save and make the change or sell everything and try to rebuild.  Perhaps you should consider selling the D7100 and purchasing the Z6 along with the lens adapter which would allow you to use the new body with your lenses.  Then you can slowly transition over to the other lenses.

Just my thought...

if not sure should switch then rent or test out Z6 i went from owning D7200 for 6 month and D5300 for 2 1/2 years before i  got Z6 never looked back. but never got to see true pace the D7200 can give me. since was more happy with what full frame body game me. and fact get better quality from crop off full frame photo then double crop from DX body. also do not sell  then body keep as backup or second setting. since over time you might like the D7100 or need backup or second setting camera for a shoot. with out having to change lenses all time or setting when switch to another style of shooting
