Hello, I've had a Nikon D3300 for a couple years that I finally decided to start using.   My problem is the memory card slot suddenly malfunction today.   After tons of research Ive haven't come up with a solution.

There is no broken plastic pieces from the card which seems to be what most experience.   My issue happened when I switched cards.   Now when insert the card it takes some force and but the main issue seems to be the silver tab on the left side of the slot that sticks out is scratching and digging into the card each time I put it in and the locking mechanism doesn't work.   I know I made a huge mistake by putting in and removing it numerous times.

I can manually get the locking mechanism to work without the card using a long needle.   It's that silver tab on the left side that's digging into the card.  I dont know if I bent the locking mechanism tab or the other tab in the process.   If you look at the memory card you can see how its digging in but also just noticed all the pins on the card are getting scratched, just not like the left side.   Any help would be greatly appreciated.
