Hello, I just recently upgraded from a D3300 to a D7500. On my D3300 I could manually choose a focus point for the auto-focus to prioritize, but I'm having trouble finding an option to do that on my D7500. Instead it seems to internally select what to prioritize for focus, which while certainly nice in some situations isn't my preferred style of shooting. So, am I stuck just using full manual focus or is there an option to manually choose a point for the auto-focus to prioritize? Thanks!

Switch the autofocus selector to the white dot from the "L" position. You can then use the the multi selector to choose the autofocus point you want to use. Switching the AF selector back to "L" will lock the AF point in place.
