Hello everyone!
Need some advise,please..any help is welcome.
I am having trouble using P mode, in D7100.. Looks like no changes occur, despite P Mode looks like it is active(P*) ! Any suggestions??

Already updated the firmware but no change!

I am not familiar with that range of cameras but
why would you want to use the P mode? That
mode takes all decision power (and so creativity)
from your hands!

What are you trying to do that doesn't work exactly?

If nothing happens when you try to use the back command dial, maybe you have changed main command dial to the front wheel.

A professional might shun the use P Mode but it's unknown what the OP's level of expertise is. Moreover, the post is asking for help, not a criticism of technique. Just sayin'.

Agree...However the OP does not indicate an issue.  The OP indicates there is no change when in P Mode.  No change in what?  Why does the OP think there is a problem.  What they are seeing might allow us to provide some guidance and assistance.  Perhaps they shouldn't be seeing a change and perhaps the body needs a service call, but we need more info before we can really assist.

Cot caught up with family issues..really sorry for the delay! Happy Holidays everyone!

Setting P mode on and trying to change the suggested set of app-speed , wouldnt seem to work...turning the "wheel" , shows no change at all...but..................

..went on a street shooting and discovered that -stupedely I admit - I was expecting more than I could get , from a Nikkon 70-300/f4.5-6.3 and my old F60 - kit  28-80/f3.5-5.6 D ...!

So , I guess I should try more instead of asking so soon..but I was worried for a body issue!

I tried to use Pmode ,as I am still practising my skills and getting familiar with my D7100.

Thank you all for your answers...

p.s.1 Already started shooting on M mode...

p.s.2 P mode works , when possible.. :)
