Back in the film days I made use of a bellows paired with a Canon F1n and a small assortment of prime lenses for shooting up close and copying old photographs with good results. I never had a MACRO lens with the Canon. Are bellows still useful with digital cameras?
I just recently went digital, and confess I'm back to being a beginner in many respects. I dipped my toe into the waters with a great deal on a Nikon D5500 and I'm having a great time with it! It came with an 18-55 kit lens, I've since gotten a Tamron 90mm 272E f2.8 MACRO 1:1 and haven't had it off the body since getting it two weeks ago, (I really like it, with the crop factor it's equal to my old 135mm f2.8 on the F1n). With the Tamron lens would a bellows even be useful, if they even worked with digital?
