We have a brand-new D5600 which we unboxed today. It is running firmware 1.10. Our phone is an iPhone 7, running iOS 13.3. We just downloaded the latest version of the SnapBridge app. After following the directions and looking up all of the online troubleshooting we could find, we are still unable to connect the two via Bluetooth. We've done the following:

1) 'Forgotten' the camera as a Bluetooth device, from inside the Snapbridge app

2) Killed all apps on phone and power-cycled

3) Power-cycled camera

4) Restart linking from inside Snapbridge app, following directions for non-NFC enabled devices

We get as far as the 'Select an Accessory' screen (attached), and then it generates a pairing code. After clicking Ok on the camera and the phone, it gives the ridiculous error 'Camera not found. See online help' (also attached). I've gone through the help multiple times, and it's no help. Does anyone have any ideas? We bought this camera literally for the connectivity and now I'm ready to send it back.

Isn't the D5600 with 1.10 WMU compatible?

Snapbridge has always been problematic, it is much better to get WMU for cameras that support it. This ditches the BT-WiFi bridge that is where most of the Snapbridge problems come from.

I have no issues using SnapBridge with my D5600.    I have to go through the menu options on both phone and camera to establish connection, but a small price to pay for the camera control I get.

My issue it loading SnapBridge onto a second device.   I have both Smartphone and Tablet.    Works great on my phone but when I try to load the app on the tablet it just tells me already installed.    Can we load it on more than one device?

I have IPhone 7 SE, ISO 11 ? whatever came on it. the SnapBridge works well, most of the time. I do not have Blue Tooth Enabled on either device until I want to transfer pictures. Sometime I have to try multiple times before it connects but it always does and works well.

Six months later, we have no resolution to this problem. The Snapbridge app will not connect to an iPhone, period. This is so frustrating, as it was one of the features that convinced us to buy Nikon! The last communication I received (in January) was "We are working on making our software compatible with their software." Nothing since.

Thanks for the response. I'm embarrassed to say, however, that I don't know what WMU is. Could you elaborate?

Nikon’s Wireless Mobile Utility. The 1.10 firmware update is said to make the D5600 compatible with pure wifi apps like WMU. I haven’t tried it as I don’t have a D5600. WMU is very stable on my iPhone, though.

I’m also having issues but I thought SnapBridge was the replacement for WMU?

Snapbridge does not work with my setup. I'm using WMU to import pictures directly to Photos on the iPhone. It's glitchy and slow, and frequently times out if if there are a lot of pictures, but at least it kind of works.

Incredibly disappointed by Nikon. Snapbridge was literally a selling point for me with this camera, and they don't support it at all.
