When I take portraits using my Nikon D7100 and SB700 Flash there are shadows around the figures in the image when I download. What can I do to eliminate this.

Shadows around images

It would be better if you posted an example, it could be you need light on the background or more distance between the subject and background.

Or, possibly moving the flash off camera so that those shadows fall outside the picture area.
