Hi everyone,

 

As topic title kinda of iterated I am having problems with the Camera being able to access by the laptops or web browsers/websites I go to (mainly for work).

 

I have tried using and configuring Firefox Chrome and Edge to allow camera access in their privacy and permissions tabs, I have doubled check that Win 10 permissions are also configured to allow access, but when i plug the USB cable in the computers or laptops picks up on the camera, recognizes it but when i want to access the pictures or video's I get an error message stating:

 

"having trouble establishing a connection, make sure your camera is unlock and accepts/allow/ this action is permitted "

 

The first thing I did was go through the Camera settings/configuration itself to see if there was a pop message or a tab where I can find this permission/allow option, but tho no avail, the computer/laptop did not get any pop messages or further action option too.

 

I then tried to turned the camera off plugging it back on to different USB ports than turning the camera on again, same thing happens the camera gets recognized but I still can't access the photos in it or establish a proper connection between the camera and the computer/laptop.

 

If anyone can help or has experience with similar issue please feel free to clue me in on possible resolutions, thank you.

Why would you want to give a web browser access to your camera? Very few photos are the best they can be straight out of the camera, you usually need to tweak things a little bit.

 

The first step should be to import the files to the computer, then do the post work as needed before uploading via a web browser.

 

I suspect that you need a camera with a mass storage mode to do a direct upload. Nikon DSLRs use PTP only since about 2007.

 

If you absolutely need direct upload or just want less hassle when importing files, get a card reader.

The reason i need a direct link via to the web browser because it is specified by the rules and regulation at work that all images captured has to go through the  stated website/platform and be stored there for verification purposes.

Then you need another brand of camera or permission from the policymakers to use a card reader. Nikons don't have the mass storage mode that turns the camera into a card reader.
