Help.

My  D850 stopped auto focusing right in the middle of an outdoor photo session.

I have gone through and tried all the necessary checks. Nothing is locked, its all set to AF. I even reset all by shooting banks, tried different lenses and even tried back button focus. It still will not focus. Please help!

Does it happen with more than one lens?  Have you tried cleaning the contacts on both body and lens?  Is there a selector on the lens for Autofocus? Perhaps just resetting the lens will help.

Battery problems, light conditions changing?  Outdoors, anything is possible.  Surprising issue for that level of gear.  Good Luck. :)

Same happened to me in August this year. Only solution was to let it fix. It was necessary to build in a new main board. Even though it was a case of guarantee, I still had to pay 229 EUR for it. Good luck!
